Inspection Camera in Welding Inspection
The welding inspection is to check if any defects on welds, is welding durable and able uphold under pressure.
Good welds require a smooth, strong and even weld. Even the smallest bubble or missed fused point can caused a weak welding point and potential structural failure of the welded item. A good looking weld can never be guaranteed as qualify and satisfy welding, resulting in the need to inspect the weld “up close” to identify any errors.
The welding inspector use different methods (destructive or nondestructive testing) to verify the welding quality.
Radiographic inspection (X-ray, gamma) is widely used techniques for showing the presence and nature of macroscopic defects and other discontinuities in the interior of welds.
Magnetic-particle inspection is excellent for detecting surface defects in welds, revealing discontinuities that are too fine to be seen with the human eye.
The visual inspection is an easier and less expensive method for welding inspection. It is the first step checking for any welding inspection program; visual inspections are required before and after weld-joints are completed. But it is difficulty to carry a visual inspection on weld spots and you need inspection camera to access the hard to reach small piping.
